Architectural Department Manager

Driven solutions are provided under direction of an experienced team of project managers that can guide our clients from the initial stages of planning through design, construction, and occupancy. Additional in-house services include HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, technology, structural, civil, geo-environmental, landscape, and green-building design.

Objective

Primary responsibilities will include leading the Architectural team and planning process while directing and overseeing the production and coordination of architectural deliverables for projects. Incorporate a strong architectural knowledge to all design team members.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate various architectural operations including quality assurance, production, and development of design criteria.

Manage a diverse team who creates, coordinates, and executes multiple projects.

Assist team members in learning processes and growing professionally.
Manage team for design aesthetics and efficiency in the creation of projects.
Review, coordinate and oversee all technical activities relating to architectural projects, including directing the design team, reviewing drawing and computer models, and approving design changes.

Communicate directly with project managers, production staff, and clients to discuss and organize projects from original conceptual design through construction.

Establish, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and standards.
Create and manage project timelines/schedules.
Review of Final Drawings and Specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Ensure compliance with the company’s quality assurance policies and project delivery procedures.
Apply knowledge of design, construction procedures, zoning and building codes and building materials.
Develop knowledge of design trends, and construction methods.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
Registered Architect with a minimum of 8 years of experience
Working knowledge of Revit
Current knowledge of industry trends, technology, codes and regulations
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Experience in all stages of project delivery: Concept, Schematic Design,

Design Development, Construction Documentation, and Construction
Administration

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
