Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Construction Site Manager to lead our construction projects from start to finish. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily site operations, ensuring safety compliance, managing project schedules, and coordinating with teams to deliver high-quality results on time and within scope. Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates company’s core values with both internal team members and external clients.
  • Supervises each contractor to ensure that work meets quality standards and adheres to specifications, code and safety guidelines.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership in initial planning stage by collaborating with clients, architects, engineers, or other involved parties; develops detailed description of jobs and materials necessary to complete project.
  • Works in partnership with project manager to identify and address issues of constructability or lack of scope during preconstruction phase.
  • Develops a comprehensive review and understanding of the project scope/specifications and commitments including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones and inspections.
  • Schedules and coordinates projects in logical steps and plans the time necessary to meet each deadline.
  • Communicates with project manager concerning budget progress and costs. Provides recommendations on pay apps.
  • Ensures adherence to the budget and, when unexpected complications or issues arise, makes quick and necessary adjustments.
  • Identify scope changes and initiate additional service requests immediately.
  • Plans, coordinates, organizes, oversees, and directs activities regarding the construction and maintenance of assigned structures, facilities, and systems.
  • Schedule all required inspections for the building elements; confirm the work is complete prior to scheduling the inspections.
  • Ensures safety standards and guidelines are followed on the jobsite and that all safety codes are met in construction.
  • Initiates and oversees contract revisions and additions and assures adherence by all parties.
  • Consults with clients, staff, project managers, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve problems, including work procedures, complaints, and construction or design issues.
  • Manages and leads actions that are necessary due to delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites.
  • Conducts regular contractor meetings and meets with project manager at least bi-weekly to review job progress.
  • Creates and submits various reports.
  • Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance and coordinate any issues with contractors.
  • Maintains and reviews punch list process to ensure all are addressed and executed in a timely fashion.
  • Schedule and verify all inspections, approvals, and certifications by appropriate agencies are completed.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with a variety of people, including owners, managers, designers, supervisors, tradespersons, vendors and others.
  • Evaluates and manages risk throughout Construction. Maintains quality control.
  • Evaluates and manages contractors for quality and safety standards and scheduling deadlines.
  • Evaluates the quality and efficiency of the contractors and is authorized to stop work to correct any deficiencies. Has the authority to remove them from the worksite. May recommend the dismissal of a contractor whose work or safety adherence is not satisfactory.
  • Ensures company policies and procedures are followed by the construction team.
  • Has authority to adjust the construction process when in his/her opinion is needed to meet safety, quality, or legal requirements or to ensure the project is provided within the estimated budget.
  • Has the authority to negotiate solutions to issues raised by contractors/inspectors/suppliers.
  • Ensures client relationships and projects are in line with the organization’s business plan and vision.
  • Researches and advises changes in methods, materials, and contractors for use in future construction projects.

  • Ability to work efficiently remotely and maintain connectedness with team.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in technical field or a construction-related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years practical experience in the construction industry is required.
  • Or education equivalent of Bachelor of Science or Engineering Technology degree with a minimum of two years practical construction manager experience.
  • Experience with Construction documentation, and cloud-based construction management software.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Technical field or Construction related discipline (Preferred)

Pay: $67,800.00 – $90,000.00 per year
