New Dry Mortar Plant
NUTEC provided architecture, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and process (review) engineering for a new 53,000 sq. ft., 110-ft. tall dry mortar manufacturing facility in Dover, Delaware.
The facility includes a production plant with a warehouse and administration building.
The production area is a dry mortar mixing plant, built of steel construction with walls of insulated metal panels. The building contains five intermediate levels, each made of steel plates suitable for a load of 200 lbs./sq. ft. An elevator with a load capacity of 5,500 lbs. connects the different levels deep into interior spaces.
The warehouse is approximately 27,000 sq. ft. and equipped with four loading gates with dock shelters. Windows on the side walls and roof provide a sufficient amount of daylight.
The office building is approximately 7,000 sq. ft. and contains office rooms, break room, meeting room, testing and training area, restrooms, dressing and washrooms, and employee lounge.
